Angelica N. Sumter is a freelance digital journalist, who reports on crime and breaking news. Her work has been featured in several online news publications, including Crime Online with Nancy Grace, Inquisitr, Liberal America, The Urban Twist, and Blasting News, among others.
With a fervent for composing text, the Florida native’s writing career began in 2010 as an SEO ghostwriter for a myriad of content mills, where she would conceptualize, research, write, and edit web content for medical and dental offices, law firms, insurance agencies, media outlets, marketing and advertising firms, and car dealerships in an effort to increase client’s online readership and branding improvement.
In 2014, Angelica wanted to take her career to new heights, leaving the ghostwriting field behind and taking on crime reporting and investigative journalism she was born to do, bringing awareness to crime and social injustices that affect millions of lives every day. To date, the true crime enthusiast has produced innumerable breaking crime stories and reports that have garnered millions of readers.
When Angelica is not reporting on breaking crime news, missing people, cold cases, and America’s Most Wanted, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a concentration in professional writing and a minor in creative writing at Southern New Hampshire University College of Online and Continuing Education, working on her fictional crime novel, or binge watching the latest true crime TV shows and documentaries.
