The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a Kissimmee Charter-School teacher was arrested Friday after being accused of battering and exposing himself to his students, according to NBC-2 News.
On March 29, Angel Arzuaga, 31, allegedly held down a 13-year-old student against a desk and allowed another student to batter the victim.
When administrators at the Four Corners Upper School became aware of the incident, the Osceola County teacher was immediately fired from his position.
Almost three weeks after the incident unfolded, the Kissimmee teacher was arrested on two counts of child abuse.
The teacher’s arrest prompted another student, a 14-year-old girl, to come forward and accuse Arzuaga of touching her in a “lewd manner” and exposing his genitals to her while the pair were in his Four Corners Upper School classroom.
Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jacob M. Ruiz said the incident materialized during the school’s 2016 holiday break.
The middle school teacher was arrested Friday in connection with that incident. Arzuaga is now facing additional charges of “lewd or lascivious molestation, lewd, or lascivious exhibition.”
